Helen Woodward Animal Center is a non-profit organization located in San Diego, California. The shelter provides education to the public, allows people to adopt animals, and delivers pet food to the elderly. Unlike many shelters, they do not euthanize animals.
The campaign utilized a guerrilla marketing tactic which is a style of marketing that surprises or catches people’s attention.
The photo of two malnourished dogs makes viewers have an emotional reaction due to the dogs’ conditions. The statistic shows that most dogs don’t find a permanent home which prompts the viewer to adopt an animal.
